I’ll do a real write up sometime in the not-so-distant future. For now, all I’m going to say before I pass out is that I now fully recognize Maryland as a legitimate final 4 contender. I had my doubts before, but those have all been erased after their amazing performance at the Brawl.
Congrats on the W, Maryland.

It is practically certain that Maryland voters will decide the fate of marriage equality in an upcoming election, based on signatures opponents have collected.
Anti-marriage equality activists turned in what they claimed were more than 113,000 signatures of people in favor of a referendum on marriage equality. This is more than twice what was needed to get on the ballot in November.
Same-sex marriage nearly always fails when it comes down to popular vote, and gay rights activists are trying to downplay the number of signatures collected by calling attention to polls that show more people in Maryland in favor of marriage equality.
Kevin Nix, a spokesman for Marylanders for Marriage Equality, said his group would not rule out court challenges to the signatures, if merited. But he said supporters of same-sex marriage have always been focused on winning at the ballot in November.
“It’s always been going to happen,” Nix said, referring to opponents’ ability to gather enough signatures to force a referendum.
Ugh, this is nerve-wracking. Maryland, get ready to get out the vote.
Maryland, please don’t be like North Carolina.
More photos from the 2nd Nittany Cup! We got lucky and chilled with Connor who drove the Vassar contingent of JNDS and Ellen to Penn State. Everybody should probably hug this man on sight, and congratulate him for his snitching skills.
I took a few photos of the Maryland Marauders because they are cute and excited and I totally forgive them for kneeing me in the groin when I tried to score. (It totally wasn’t your fault, thin tallish dude who tackled me, it was actually probably the broom. I never want to feel that again though, anybody who says it doesn’t hurt girls will get a kick there from me… for scientific purposes).
Overall the tournament was fun, if disorganized, and totally worth the six hours drive from New York. Much Quove!
For the tackle, it was the broom. He felt sooooooo bad after it happened though. I also love how Shippensburg joined our hug at the end! They were really scrappy, especially for such a new team! Plus, it was nice to finally meet you! <3
This is the official Tumblr of the University of Maryland quidditch team. Posts here come from a variety of players on our team, and will include photos, stories, jokes, and other things submitted by our members. Yay, Quidditch!
I wish we had played you all! Next time. :)

I’m sad I couldn’t play in this tournament (and so I’m not in this picture), but I love this team. These people are amazing.
