When I am stressed or avoiding work, I like to bake. Tonight, I was accomplishing both. (Though I did work on my paper while waiting for the cookies to bake… so that’s a *bit* better). I came across a recipe that used marshmallows to make a chocolatey cookie, and that seemed like just my thing. I made a couple modifications, and am pretty happy with them (I might make them again soon and make them even better… we’ll see). My apartment smells heavenly right now. Support of the deliciousness of these cookies — my roommate tasted one and say “Oh god these are so good,” at the same time her boyfriend exclaimed “holy s**t balls these are amazing.” They’re kinda gooey and messy, but a nice comforting treat.
Baked these again today… they are still delicious.
We did a secret snitch gift exchange today, after our last practice of the semester. A lot of people got really awesome and thoughtful gifts, and sitting in that room reminded me of why I love this team so so so much. Two of our players, Ryan and Caitlin, are graduating. They’re both beaters, and…

I’ve been invited to participate in a fun cooking blog with two friends of mine, Deanna and Sarah. I met these wonderful people through, you guessed it, quidditch. But we’ve decided to put aside our former cross-state rivalry for this project.
